Welcome to denoonsp
Denoon solutions provider was launched in 2005 as a full service company, providing design assistance, or completed products, to customers wanting to modify and upgrade their CB400F's. My goal was to "bring YOUR ideas to life", and offer the Honda performance enthusiast a unique range of products for the 400 Four. It quickly became obvious that the majority of CB400F owners wanted to restore their bikes to look and ride like they did in 1975, not make them handle, accelerate, and stop better. This is great for some, but holds no interest for me.
Right about the same time the original site went up, the two Kevins at www.TTR400.com and www.400FourStore.com started expanding their product lines, offering basically the same hard goods I was, at prices that I couldn't begin to compete with.
I decided to relaunch the site more as an information portal for those interested in building modified bikes of all levels, from mild cafe racers to full-on custom racers. I hope to provide inspiration and instructions to those willing to go their own way and create a custom bike that best represents their idea of the ideal. I'll be shining the spotlight on all kinds of custom bikes from the 70's and 80's, because these are the bikes that I grew up with and lusted over as a young man, but my main focus will always be a bike that holds a special place in my collection, the CB400F.
News
Apr - 2022 - I have sold the last set of rearsets. I have no plans to make any more at this time.
Feb - 2022 - I am down to the last set of rearset plates, and I doubt that I will ever make them again. The last batch I did I think I made about 25 sets, and it took 7 years to sell them. So I don't think I will go down that road again. The set that I have left have some chatter marks on the aluminum plates, that I rec'd from the CNC router supplier, so I'll sell that last set for $145 USD. If you are interested contact me.
June - 2015 - I have rearset plates back in stock and ready to ship. $195.00 USD complete with hardware as shown below. As mentioned earlier, I am not stocking the Tarozzi parts to go along with the plates. It would be nice to supply everything as a kit, but it is a big cash outlay to order the Tarozzi parts from Italy, and it generally takes a long time to recoup those costs. Especially with the US distributor selling the parts for the price he does. There is just no margin left, so I'm only selling the plates.
Nov - 2014 - I am currently out of stock of the rearset plates. To get decent pricing from the laser shop I need to order quantities of at least 10 sets at a time. I will not be ordering any more until I have at least half a dozen confirmed orders. I am currently taking names so if you are interested in being added to the list contact me at rdenoon@mts.net
Oct - 2014 - Although I am technically still a Tarozzi distributer, it is no longer financially practical to continue importing their products. They have continually raised their prices every year, and along with the strengthening of the Euro, adding to the banking fees and shipping fees, my cost is now about the same as what the US distributor is selling product for. They must have brought in a good supply of stock a few years ago when prices and the exchange rate were down.
May - 2013 - I went ahead and did a small production run of rearset plates.
Steel base plates, raw steel, sandblasted and ready for paint/powder-coat/chrome. With hardware as shown, $106.50
Aluminum extension plates, raw aluminum, complete with brake stop tab, $115.00
Jan - 2013 - I am now a Distributor in Canada for Wood Craft Racing - For the time being I will not be stocking much product, but they build beautiful clip-ons that fit the 400F.
Aug - 2012 - I have completed the design and testing of a set of bolt on rearsets for the CB400F. There are alternative sets out there, but they are expensive. Or, you can make your own, but that involves searching for components from multiple sources, ordering parts, and then hoping that they fit together. I've taken the guess work out of the process and offer an "a la carte" system where you can pick and choose what components you want to buy, or supply yourself. See the details of my CB400F Rearsets
June - 2012 - I have the programming completed to machine the bar mounts off of the stock CB400F triple clamp. I have set up a couple of different price structures depending on how much work you want done, and have put together some package deals for machining and supplying a set of Tarozzi Clip-ons.
June - 2012 - I am now a Distributor for Tarozzi here in Canada.
Tarozzi has been in business as long as I can remember, and they produce pretty nice products at reasonable prices. The shipping is pretty stiff from Italy, and the whole process from placing an order to receiving it takes 5-6 weeks. I will only be stocking some of the more common items to begin with. Currently I have some Clip-ons and Rearsets in stock. I will be placing an order probably every 8-10 weeks and I am happy to quote you on anything you see on the Tarozzi site.
Nov - 2011
- Someone asked me to do an FEA study on the stock CB400F swingarm. I did one and added it to the same page as my other swingarm studies. Bimota 7
- I refined my model of the stock CB400F frame and redid some bracing studies to try and come up with a feasible method of frame bracing. CB400F Frame Bracing
Oct - 2011 - The 400FourStore has shut down. Kevin Mullin has moved out of the country for a couple of years,
Aug - 2010 - Jigs are completed and we now offer carb boring services for CB500/550 slide type carbs Carb Boring CB500/CB550
April - 2010 - Added a great write-up on rebuilding a CBR600RR Showa shock CBR600RR Shock Rebuild , courtesy of Peter Verdone http://www.peterverdonedesigns.com/
Nov-09 - Added a new page with a fully parametric rake and trail calculator specifically for the CB400F. rake-trail-2
